It was announced yesterday, Wednesday 12th October, that following on from a period of due diligence the manager who was to buy the Southampton Mini Link operation is no longer going to. As a result, Simon Gard has announced that the company, which was going to close on 28th October and then was reprieved, will now close on 28th October.
So endeth the saga of the little bus company, running the little (Not City) Red bus in competition with City Red.
Interestingly though, also in the thread:
So maybe this is the last that we will see of Simon Gard as a small bus company operator of many brands? Certainly to hand the O-licence back to the Traffic Commissioner is a big step, although as Simon has said in the past, his health has become an issue and makes it difficult for him to drive a bus for long periods.
We have concentrated on the Southampton Mini Link local operation a lot during this turbulent time. We must also remember though that there was also Dekkabus down in Dorset, bought by Simon not too long ago. For now though, here endeth a small era.

And for all we know, somebody else might come along and buy the operation at the 11th hour. A never ending cycle of uncertainty!
wonder what will happen to the heritage Bristol that was transferred stock from the Deccabus deal
Perhaps a burger bar on the M6!
There’s only a finite amount of wine and whores it can buy!!!! 🍷💃
