While the bigger groups are still leaving it to the last minute, Yellow Buses have now announced their autumn Coronavirus timetable which takes effect from the August Bank Holiday.
In case you are wondering, service registration changes are still running to a revised agreement and services can be changed with 72 hours notice. As you would expect though, with the country returning to the ‘new normal’ this is mostly service uplifts.
Firstly – a bit of a complaint. PLEASE Yellow Buses, can we have a timetable booklet like the downloadable one you had for the June 14th changes? [edit 26/08 if they didn’t, they do now….]
Yellow Bus Core Routes
Bournemouth to Poole – Service 1 doubles in frequency on weekdays and will now run every 30 minutes (Weekends are still hourly)
Service 1b will now only run past Tuckton to Christchurch between 1000 and 1400.
Service 2 will continue as now to Castlepoint with an hourly extension to to Kinson and Bearwood replacing part of service 4a.
Service 4a is completely revised as the 2 is extended. The route is more direct between Bournemouth, Winton and Moordown and using the Wimbourne Road. This service will not serve the Railway Station or Lansdowne.
Service 5 / 5a frequency increase to every 10 minutes weekdays / 15 minutes Saturdays / 20 minutes Sundays.
Yellow Bus Other Routes
Service 6h This special service catering for keyworkers in the lockdown will be reduced from hourly to 2-hourly. This is in part because of the extension of the service 2 to Bearwood. The 6h will be coordinated with the 2 so they don’t bunny hop down the road together!
Service 8 is entirely withdrawn between Boscombe and Mountbatten.
Service 18 enjoys a service increase to hourly on Saturdays, matching the weekday frequency.
Service 36 returns to an hourly timetable.
Service 737 to the Business Park and Airport will be have a timetable revision, but the same number of buses per day.
