Bluestar are hot on the heels of their service increases to their cross-city services and have more bus running from 27th February.
You will know from last week that there were increases to the 17 (to a pre-COVID frequency) and 18 (to a near pre-COVID frequency) – thanks for the clarification Anonyomous commenter – and there are more next Sunday.
Bluestar 1 will increase on Saturdays to a 20 minute daytime frequency. Note that although this makes it Every 20 Minutes – 6 Days a Week; Saturday timings are 5 minutes later than weekdays.
Bluestar 2 will increase to a 15 minute frequency on weekdays and 20 minute frequency on Saturdays.
Bluestar 16 will increase to a 15 minute frequency on weekdays and 20 minute frequency on Saturdays.
This means that certainly on weekdays, the 1, 2 and 16 are back to their pre-COVID strength. It seems that some operators are having more success than others at the moment; GoAhead companies seems to be rapidly returning to higher frequencies.
Let’s hope it continues, especially if the rumours of isolation requirements ending is true!
