I thought you would like a bit of peace and quiet from me the last few days. Mainly because the Saturday service was all Saturday timetables and Sunday….. well you get the jist.
There is just a few more days of bus services to contend with before we all go back to normal, so lets have a look at one of the last days of the £2 bus ticket.
South Dorset
In Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast, First Wessex are running a largely Saturday service, unless a service is weekdays only; where it will run a weekday service.
Go-Ahead South’s Damory brand will also run a Saturday service, except services 1, 2, 5, 6, 20, CR7, CR8, CR9 will run to a weekday timetable on weekdays.
Bournemouth & Poole
morebus will be running a Saturday service except for the following weekday timetables:
- Bournemouth services 18, 24, 33, 737
- Rural services 38
- New Forest services 112, 119, 120, 191, Ringo
- X-brand services X1, X2, X3, X6, X8
Under the UniBus brand, only the U3 is running, to the Saturday timetable.
Southampton
Bluestar will run a Saturday service on most of it’s commercial network. Normal Monday timetables will run on the usual group of financially supported services:
- Bluestar 6 through the New Forest to Lymington (or from Lymington…. as it is managed by morebus’ Lymington depot)
- recently acquired Bluestar 21 services through Shirly
- Service 35 in Romsey
- Services T3 and T4 in Totton
- Romsey and Salisbury routes X7 and X7R
- QuayConnect
Additionally the N1 nightbus will not run.
First Solent are running a Saturday service on the X4 and X5.
UniLink are running a vacation Saturday service, and the U8 & U9 Monday services.
Isle of Wight
Southern Vectis will run a full Monday timetable.
Fareham & Gosport
First Solent will run a Saturday Service. That is except services affected by the footnote:
* Note: Some routes will operate a weekday timetable instead of Saturday. Details of this are attached in the individual service summaries.
If anyone knows where the individual service summaries are then feel free to mention it. The actual Christmas service page has been removed, so they can not be updated there and I am not going through every timetable to work it all out.
Stagecoach South service 69 will run to a Saturday timetable.
Portsmouth
First Solent is running a Saturday service with the exception of some of those footnoted services that are just a game of Guess Who? or rather Guess Which? to which ones might not be running. The Tipner Park and Ride will operate a normal Monday service.
Stagecoach South will be running a Saturday service, except a special service on the 38 between Petersfield and Alton.
Winchester
Stagecoach South will run a Saturday service. The exceptions will be weekday service on the 49 & 49h for Bishops Waltham and Hamble, and the Winchester Park & Ride.
Andover
Stagecoach South will be running a Saturday service. A weekday timetable will run on these exceptions:
- Services 7 & 7a to Newbury
- Service 9 to Berry Way and Floral Way
- Circular Service 12
- Service 13 to Vigo Road
- Service 15 to the Anna Valley and Chilbolton
- Service 17 to Middle Wallop and Over Wallop
- Services 66 & 67 in Tidworth & Salisbury
- Service 87 to Salisbury
- Service 5 to Monxton will only operate at 0945 and 1245
Basingstoke
Stagecoach South will run a Saturday service, as well as the weekday timetable for Dummer and Steventon service 16.
Newbury & District will run a Friday service on Flightline 730 & 731.
Turns out there was no exceptions on first bus in the end. We ran a full Saturday service, even the late 3s and 1s, which wouldn’t normally run on a monday!!
The exceptions were I believe meant to be for services that either don’t normally run on Saturdays or have a much later start-up.
Example the F2 does not run Saturdays.
