These are the service summaries for New Years Eve – Wednesday 31st December.
Alton, Bordon and Petersfield
Saturday service except:
- Service 38 runs a special timetable.
Andover
Stagecoach South will be running a Saturday service on most services. A weekday timetable will run on:
- Activ8 to Salisbury,
- Service 66 & 67 between Tidworth & Salisbury
- Service 87 between Andover and Salisbury
- Service 5 will run two trips (only) at 0945 and 1245

Bournemouth & Poole
morebus & Damory will be running a Saturday service except for the following weekday timetables:
- Bournemouth services 18, 24, 33, 737
- Rural services 38
- New Forest services 112, 119, 120, 191, Ringo
- X-brand services X1, X2, X3, X6, X8
Extra morning trips run on
- 1a to Somerford & Christchurch
- 8 for Turin Moor and Upton
- 13 to Ferndown & Wimborne
- 14 between Poole, Kinson and RBH
- 16 & 17 through Alderney & Rossmore
- 22 to RBH & Castlepoint
Services not running
There is a reduced service on the m1 and m2. There will be no Nightbus N1, N2 or N5 trips.
The 00:10 service 1a from Bournemouth to Christchurch will not run
Fareham & Gosport
First Solent will be running a Saturday service across the majority of the network, with the following exceptions:
- Service 11 – Weekday timetable
- Service 21 – Weekday timetable
- Service 28 & 28A – Weekday timetable

Stagecoach South service 69 is running a Saturday service. The last trips are at 2035 Winchester – Waltham Chase & 2113 Waltham Chase – Winchester.
Isle of Wight
Southern Vectis will run a normal weekday timetable.
Overnight services will also run on the N1, N3, N5 and N9.
Portsmouth & Havant
Both First Solent and Stagecoach South will be running a Saturday service across most of it’s network, with two exceptions. The following services will run a weekday service:
- Hoverbus H1 serving Hovertravel with an early finish
- Tipner Park & Ride PR1
- (Closed Service) QA1 for the NHS Staff Car Parking
- Service 27 between Rowlands Castle, Havant and Emsworth

I am very surprised that First Solent are not running any overnight services. I would have thought that based on the fact Portsmouth City Council funded a Christmas Day service, and that there is much funding from the Bus Service Improvement Plan for overnight services at weekends that there is not one on New Years Eve.
Stagecoach South will run their overnight services between Southsea, Gunwharf, Cosham and Havant on service 23 and Havant to Leigh Park on service 22.
South Dorset
First Wessex are planning to run a Saturday service, with a few exceptions. So much changed since the Edward Street team originally published their service; I will just direct you to their timetables page instead. They changed their advertising after originally posting their Christmas news summary, and are now running overnight services on selected routes, rather than the original early finish.
Damory Services 1, 2, 6, CR7, CR8, CR9 & 20 will run a weekday service.
Southampton
Bluestar are running a Saturday service, but with a large list of exceptions:
Weekday timetables
- BS6 from Lymington & The New Forest
- 21 to Shirley
- 35 in Romsey
- H1 & H2 in Hythe
- PRH – The General Hospital private staff shuttle
- X7 & X7R from Salisbury and Romsey
- QuayConnect
- Tesco Depot service 61 will not run the late evening 21:12 and 22:10 trips
The Adanac Park & Ride PR1 service WILL NOT RUN.
The Nightbus services appear to be running to a normal Saturday timetable
First Solent are running a Saturday service on its routes into the City on the X4 and X5.
Winchester
A Saturday service will run on all services except the 49 & 49h and the Winchester Park & Ride.
Last trips will run according to this list.
