Reductions at Bluestar on Sunday

A Bluestar bus in Southampton
Reading Time: < 1 minute

Following other bus operators reducing their services across the area, GoAhead have announce a small number of service reductions across Southampton. This is on top of most Bluestar bus services moving to a reduced, or School Holiday timetable last Sunday.

As services start to reduce, it is interesting how some commentators take the new upon social media. I wonder if we are getting to a passenger level to justify cross-acceptance of tickets in Southampton again?

Bluestar 9 will reduce to a half-hourly frequency. One bus per hour will run to Fawley (some early or late buses continue to/from Calshot Beach) and one bus to Langley Farm.

Sunday services will continue to serve Calshot and Lepe Beaches.

Bluestar 16 will reduce the peak hour service so that it runs every 15 minutes from approximately 0645. This usually runs every 10 minutes in the peak times.

Bluestar 18 reduces in frequency from every 8 to every 10 minutes

UniLink U9 moves to a school holiday timetable.

  1. Changes at Yellows from today. Most routes switched to Sat timetables during the week.
