School Holiday Service for Winchester

A Stagecoach Bus in Winchester
Reading Time: 2 minutes

With Hampshire schools mostly breaking up for the summer break next Friday, Stagecoach South have announced a reduced school holiday service for services in Winchester.

These changes are lodged to take effect from Sunday 24th July until at least Saturday 3rd September (at least, just in case it is extended…. I doubt it though) and affect many of the city bus services.

Service 1 – Stanmore – City – Winnall:
The weekday core frequency remains every 20 minutes, with some thinning of the service in the evening peak.

Service 3 – Harestock
Reduced frequency in the weekday morning and evening peak.

Service 4 – Highcliffe – City – Teg Down
The weekday afternoon service will mirror the weekends with the last bus to Teg Down being 1449 from Winchester (the last bus to Highcliffe will still be 1750)

Service 5 – Badger Farm
Weekday frequency reduced all day with buses leaving the bus station 0538, 0608, 0630 then every 20 minutes until 1930 (then becomes every 30 minutes)

Service 7 – Sparsholt
Weekday service will run to the Saturday timetable of 5 round trips daily.

The Spring – Spingvale
Retiming and one less service in the weekday peaks.

Service 64 – Ropley, Four Marks and Alton
Weekday services will run to the Saturday timetable (with one extra service into at 0640 from Alton to Winchester). Obviously (?) the Friday and Saturday only service will only run on Friday and Saturday.

Service 66 – Hursley and Romsey
The service will be hourly all day, with no diversions via Cupernham in the peaks.

Service 69 – Bishop’s Waltham and Fareham
Weekday service will run to a Saturday timetable (with one extra service at 0629 from Waltham Chase to Winchester). Obviously (?) the Friday and Saturday only service will only run on Friday and Saturday.

Service 86 – Sutton Scotney and Whitchurch
The weekday service will run to the Saturday timetable (with one extra service at 0700 from Whitchurch to Winchester)
