Xelabus have this week submitted a cancellation notice for their Shopper Connect branded X15 service between Eastleigh, Hedge End and Hamble Square. The two round trips on weekdays, which extend to Barton Peveril College on college days, are currently financially supported by Eastleigh Borough Council and Hampshire County Council.
Having looked at the survey information pack and taking into account the service of Barton Peveril; Hampshire County Council figures suggest that the service has been a 50%+ reduction in use comparing 2019/20 (just as the pandemic hit) to 2021/22. Even with partial lockdowns, concerns over virus transmission and more, that is still a hefty drop.
Now, according to Hamble Parish Council, there is a survey on the Hampshire County Council website about the loss of the service. There is only 3 days left in the three week survey window; so if you will be at a disadvantage by the loss of the X15 then it might be an idea to head over to the passenger transport consultation and have your views.

Either way though, the X15 looks like it is scheduled for cancellation on Friday 02 September
