We have been waiting, after First Solent posted their service cancellations for three important local links in the Portsmouth area. As I said from the very beginning, I anticipated that this was because of the larger review into service tenders and contracted local services by various councils.
In the last few days, the question has been answered as service registrations have appeared for the revised services which have been registered as what appears to be new services rather than revised.
- Service 13 – Commercial Road – Baffins – Milton – Fratton – Commercial Road will run hourly and daily
- Service 18 – Paulsgrove, Almondsbury Road – Cosham – North End – Fratton – Southsea Shops will run half hourly and daily
- Service 22 – Farlington – Cosham – Highbury will run every 70 minutes and daily
In all cases, the services have been registered as receiving no subsidy; but no details of whether there is a change to the current timetable have been released yet.
